Alder (Master) Suite

THE Master Bedroom is very quiet, located on the VanDusen Botanical Garden side of the house. It is also our largest and grandest room. The substantial bedroom is painted in a "chocolate fondue” colour and features our only walk-in closet. The king bed faces a 32" Samsung LCD HDTV, office desk, upholstered chair & Queen sofa bed. The palatial pink marble bathroom has our only Whirlpool Tub for two, as well as a separate walk-in shower, double sink and all pink top-of-the-line Kohler fixtures. Popular for Honeymooners, anniversaries & romantic getaways; be king and queen for your stay!

Birch (Junior) Suite

Our smallest Junior Suite is also very quiet on the east (lane) side of the house, with the same fabulous king bed and amenities as all our suites. This bathroom was stripped to the studs and features a spa inspired Grohe Freehand thermostat deep tub/shower, double sinks under mounted on a white Silestone countertop with Toto fixtures. A modern New York high-rise hotel influences the bold shower tiling & dark oak cabinetry. While in bed, look right for a view of the VanDusen Botanical Garden or look left to the 32" Samsung LCD HDTV. This suite is small on city noise yet big on style!

We combined three west-facing rooms to make this “other” Master Suite! The only room with a separate den/office, with a Queen sofa bed that faces a 32" Samsung LCD HDTV and an adjacent mahogany glass top desk with an upholstered swivel chair is preferred by those want to spend more time in their suite to socialize...or read a book. The modern sea-grass tiled bathroom has a walk-in shower featuring a Grohe thermostat Aquatower. The Japanese style soaker tub matches perfectly with the Toto Nexus soft-close bath suite. For those committed to value, this room has it all; a luxurious king bed, office desk & chair, 32" Samsung LED HDTV, wall radio and tasteful art. The large bathroom features the unique combination of deep blue wall paint and grey plumbing fixtures. The deep Kohler tub/shower matches Toto’s top of the line grey Soirée soft-close toilet & double sink vanity with matching Soiree faucets on a white Silestone countertop. Including TV, telephone, desk & upholstered chair, this room holds its own against the competition. Dogwood also has the best view to see when your taxi has arrived. An excellent value with blackout curtains.

Elm (Junior) Suite

The only Junior Suite with a queen sofa bed! The wall hung 32" Samsung LCD HDTV faces the luxurious king bed. The largest Junior Suite is also the only room on our main floor and boasts the strongest in-room Wi-Fi signal. This room has a few unique features; solid oak bedroom floors with a beautiful oriental area rug, 36” wide solid doors, and a shower-only bathroom that showcases a modern 40” wide trough-sink on a custom dark oak vanity. The front west-facing veranda is private to the Elm Suite with 2 calm inducing Adirondack chairs with quick access to Granville Street. Preferred by those avoiding house stairs or adjacent rooms, or who prefer to be close to the front door, breakfast area, or an outside chair.

Book all 5 King-bedrooms for a maximum 18 person unique Bed & Breakfast experience! Includes 7 on-site parking spots, room specific secure keyless entry, WiFi, local & North American long distance calling. All 5 rooms have luxurious King-beds, 32" Samsung LCD HDTVs and stylish en suite bathrooms. 3 rooms have Queen-sofabeds and 2 rooms can accommodate single-cots. Rates include deluxe breakfast buffet served from 5am-11am, with hot entree served from 8:30am-10am by your host. Perfect for Weddings (think Bridesmaids or Groomsman), Family Reunions, or Corporate Retreats/Trade-Shows. We recommend the Full-House be booked 6 months or more in advance as it only takes one booking to remove this option. Benefits include accommodations and common area in a private setting. A typical booking...
The first thing you will notice after booking online with us is your emailed confirmation letter that confirms your booking and removes your dates from our Availability Calendar. A 50% deposit is taken shortly after booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to your arrival. After full payment is received, we will email you (subject line "Suite Entry") your personal time sensitive access codes, allowing you to arrive on your own schedule and free you from the responsibility of bulky keys or access cards. We are easy to find by plane, train or automobile: About $20 by taxi from the YVR Airport; about 15 minute by public transit from the train station; and free onsite parking awaits each suite. The #10 Bus stop is 100 meters (or yards) away. Your access codes will start working shortly before your 4pm check in time, but we can always give access to the common area for a luggage drop if your room is not available for an early check in.
Once in your room, you will notice your check-in receipt: please sign & return the merchant copy, and keep the customer copy for your records. Hang your clothes on the wooden hangers in the spacious closet organizer beside the iron & iron board. Pour yourself a Numi Organic tea or Van Houtte coffee while you browse restaurants from the Zagat Best of Vancouver or Frommer's guide. Draw a bath or have a shower & enjoy the Purely Saltspring Luxury Bodycare shampoo, conditioner & body wash infused with lavender & tangerine essential oils. Dry off with thick cotton towels and a warm floor. We also provide Purely Saltspring hand & body lotions, built-in hairdryer, mouth wash, shave cream, Q-tips & cotton balls. Relax in the upholstered chair. Watch TV. Read a book. Listen to music from the wall radio or your iPod docked in the bedside iHome iPhone clock radio. You have the option to lock your valuables in your keyless safe provided. Wine glasses are available by the common area ice machine.
You may choose to leave your car in our 7 car on-site free parking area while you call for a prompt taxi, or hop on the #10 Granville Bus 3 doors down that leaves every 5 minutes during rush hour for the downtown Granville Entertainment District. After dinner, request a doggie-bag for your in-room mini fridge, which also contains your complimentary bottled waters. Slip on a bathrobe and slippers for the rest of the night. Control your room’s in-floor heat, fresh air exchange, air conditioning and mood lighting; a convenience not combined in any other Vancouver B&B. Set multiple wake up alarms on the iPod clock radio so one of you can sleep in without missing our beautiful upscale breakfast buffet.
During breakfast, don’t forget to ask your hosts, Pam & Randy, for suggestions; with over 65 combined years of Vancouver Westside living, we know the unique hot spots that you may not hear about from a major hotel. The Concierge section of this website is constantly updated to give you quick access to the ever changing local restaurant & attraction information. We also review on sites like TripAdvisor & Yelp! (Randy was a Top Contributor in 2011). The hosts are also accessible by phone, text or email for those taxi numbers, reservations or address information.
Our express checkout is the quickest in the industry as all you have to do is close the door behind you. Unlike hotels, your room is pre-paid with no additional charges for parking, Wi-Fi, telephone, food, water or lost keys.
